Veterinary Ophthalmologist

Barbara Gonella, DrMedVet CertVOphthal MRCVS

Working in a dedicated ophthalmology referral service since 2014, Barbara is confident in all areas of small animal ophthalmological referral work and will be based at different clinics in Kent for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular pathologies.

Barbara is proficient in all areas of adnexal, corneal and anterior chamber surgery. In addition to this, she can liaise with other specialists (or offer further referral) for glaucoma and retinal surgery when necessary or indicated. A member of BrAVO since 1996, Barbara attends their annual meetings and for further continued professional development has also attended the European ECVO congress on multiple occasions.

Barbara is able to address a variety of complex cases. Based in Kent, her services are within close access to all areas of London and beyond. Referral forms can be found below. Please note that Barbara is currently not performing cataract surgery.
